Being a business owner is stressful enough without having to add the burden of tax season to the mix. Join our virtual session on Nov. 16th to learn how you can stay on top of your game and knock out your taxes, like a champ.
This 1.5-hour presentation, which includes a Q & A session, will cover all things business tax-related, important filing deadlines, organization, and so much more. Those that attend will also get access to a digital workbook/informational book to ease the process for future years.
About the presenter
Nakiea Cook is Your Unconventional Accountant, practitioner, and educator. She is the founder of NC Accounting & Consulting Solutions, an accounting firm specializing in CFO, bookkeeping, tax, and accounting services for small businesses, and the founder of the EverythingkieaProject, a nonprofit educating youth on finances and cash flow.
Nakiea’s unconventional side comes from her love of analyzing numbers and knowing that they tell a story. She has a strong background in government auditing and maximizing under marginalized small businesses’ profit and revenue potential, which leads her to be requested to speak for various community organizations.
She is also a participant in the Annual Filing Season Program and is listed in the public directory of tax return preparers published by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). She is Certified as a Financial Education Instructor, QuickBooks Online Pro, Financial Management by the DoD, and She, too, is an adjunct professor at Erie Community College, teaching accounting in the Business and Public Service Division. VP of Operations for the WNY Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Treasurer for the Alleyway Theatre Inc. as well as the National Association of Women’s Business Owners Buffalo Niagara Chapter, She is MWBE Certified in NYS & NYC.
