The Urban League’s Minority and Women Business Development Division provides a wide array of services to individuals interested in starting a business or business owners looking to expand an existing company.

About

The Urban League of Rochester’s (ULR) Business Development Division assists minorities and women in launching and growing their businesses through classroom instruction and one-on-one technical assistance. We also assist dislocated workers, individuals with disabilities, veterans, as well as aspiring small business persons in the start-up, development and/ or expansion of independent self-owned micro enterprise ventures. The division includes an Entrepreneurship Assistance Center (EAC), one of over 20 Centers in NY State, funded by New York State’s Empire State Development. EAC encourages the start-up of new businesses and the continuous development and expansion of existing businesses. In addition, the Urban League of Rochester operates the KeyBank Business Boost & Build powered by JumpStart program that provides comprehensive business development services to high-potential small businesses and entrepreneurs who are ready to grow beyond the start-up and early stages of business development.
