Assistance to city businesses creating new jobs while retaining existing ones, and increasing investment within the city of Rochester.

About

The City of Rochester’s Business Development Division provides financial assistance to new or expanding city businesses to stimulate private sector job retention and/or creation, investment within the city of Rochester and increases in the City’s tax base. Eligible projects include furniture, fixture and equipment purchases, machinery acquisition, working capital and the acquisition, construction and/or renovation of real estate. Available assistance includes low interest loans between 1 percent and 3 percent, with terms between 5 and 10 years. Grants are also available, to assist with the above mentioned development uses. The Business Development Division also assists with finding suitable space, and works closely with other city departments to ensure a smooth and efficient development process exists to help business owners succeed.
